SSC Tech 56 & SSC Tech 27 Notification Indian Army

Indian Army has open a short service commisation Officer SSC Tech posts. Candidates who are interested can apply at joinindianarmy.nic.in. The number of vacancies are 191. Candidates can apply till November 12, 2020.

Eligibility criteria

Unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates. Widows of Defence Personnel of officers who died in harness for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC). Final year engineering students can also apply but they have to give proof for that.

All about the course

The course will start in Apr 2021 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

SSCW (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC). Graduation in any Discipline. SSCW (Tech). B.E./ B. Tech in any Engineering stream.Note. Candidate studying in the final year of Degree must ensure that she submits the proof of passing Degree exam by 01 Apr 2021 to Directorate General of Recruiting, failing which her candidature will be canceled.

Age eligibility

  • For SSC(Tech)- 56 Men and SSCW(Tech)- 27 Women: 20 to 27 years as on 01 Apr 2021 (Candidates born between 02 Apr 94 and 01 Apr 2001, both days inclusive).
  • For widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only. SSCW (Non Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW(Tech) – A maximum of 35 years of age as on 01 Apr 2021.

Selection Process for Indian Army 2020

It is direct entry ,directly apply for SSB Candidates will be put through two-stage selection procedure. Selection of candidates is done through SSB and Medical Board. Those who clear Stage-1 Screening test will go to Stage-2. Those who fail in Stage-1 will be returned on the same day.

The duration of training is up to 49 weeks. Short Service Commission is included as officers after training.
