Punjab CM Announces Ex-Gratia, Job For Naib Subedar Parwinder Singh’s Kin

Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 50 lakh, along with a government job, to the family of Naib Subedar Parwinder Singh from 22 Punjab.

Parwinder Singh laid down his life in the High Altitude Area of Batalik sector (Leh) along the Line of Control.

The junior commissioned officer is survived by his father, wife and two sons, aged 11 and 13 years.

The mortal remains of Singh will reach his native place in Jagraon on February 28 (Sunday) and the cremation would be held the same day.
