Indian Military Showcase Joint Might in Exercise Prachand Prahaar

The Indian Armed Forces demonstrated their formidable joint operational capabilities during the tri-service Exercise Prachand Prahaar, conducted from March 25 to 27 in the challenging high-altitude terrain along Northern Borders. Organized by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, the exercise underscored Indiaโs growing emphasis on integrated multi-domain warfare and operational readiness along its northeastern borders.
The exercise, aptly named โPrachand Prahaarโ (meaning โFierce Strikeโ), brought together the three services to showcase their synergy and jointness in a simulated combat environment. The forces showcased a striking display of advanced technology and coordinated firepower, utilizing cutting-edge equipment like drones, First Person View (FPV) drones, and loitering munitions. These modern tools of warfare, combined with precision strikes and seamless inter-service coordination, painted a powerful picture of Indiaโs military preparedness for future conflicts.

In a post on X, the Eastern Command shared visuals of the exercise, stating, (There is no virtue greater than protecting the nation, no vow greater than defending it). The post highlighted the participation of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, emphasizing how the exercise strengthened their combined capabilities. โThis exercise, featuring advanced technology and weaponry like drones and loitering munitions, was a stunning spectacle. It reinforced the synergy between the forces, signaling Indiaโs complete readiness for any future conflict,โ the post read.
Exercise Prachand Prahaar builds on the foundation laid by the earlier tri-service exercise, Poorvi Prahar, conducted in November 2024 in the Eastern Theatre. While Poorvi Prahar focused on integrating capabilities in mountainous terrains, Prachand Prahaar took the concept further by validating a fully integrated approach to surveillance, command and control, and precision firepower across the three services. The use of swarm drones, capable of autonomous operations, and loitering munitionsโdesigned to hover and strike with precisionโhighlighted Indiaโs advancements in modern warfare technology.
As a part of the Prachand Prahar Exercise, Eastern Army Command Commander Lt Gen RC Tiwari along with Air Marshal Surat Singh, Eastern Air Command Commander, conduct a sortie in the legendary Su-30MKI to understand each otherโs capabilities with a hands-on approach.

This integrated exercise is a powerful demonstration of the Indian Armed Forcesโ strength, reaffirming Indiaโs commitment to a formidable defence posture through seamless synergy and integration between Tri-services.
