Army Chief Gen. Naravane Unveiled Kargil Hero Captain Manoj Pandey Statue In Sitapur

Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane was in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. He visited the village Sturcha of martyr Captain Manoj Pandey, who wrote the victory saga in the Kargil war. During this, the Chief of Staff unveiled the statue of the martyr built in the village. Also inaugurated Smriti Bhavan. Martyr Manoj Pandey’s statue and memorial site were established by the Army contingent in his village. During this, the Chief of Army also thanked Manoj Pandey’s parents and expressed gratitude.

Village bravery, a donation made for education

Army Chief MM Naravane said that the contribution of Sturka village to the Indian Army is a symbol of pride. The name of Param Vir Chakra winner Amar Shaheed Captain Manoj Pandey, who gave his supreme sacrifice in the Kargil war, will always remain immortal. We are proud of every person in the village of Sturka. At least one of our cadets belongs to this village. After this program, the Army Chief also called the Principal of the village and presented a check of one lakh rupees and also asked to give a new dimension to the education of the village.

Earlier, an army contingent had camped at Sturka village in the Kamalapur area for the last 10 days. The work of decorating the village was being done with regard to the program of the Army Chief. The statue was unveiled under the supervision of the army contingent and the roads in the village were also repaired. This afternoon, as soon as the helicopter of Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane landed on the land of Rudha village, the villagers started expressing happiness in the memory of Captain Manoj Pandey.
