What Is The Importance Of The Army Camouflage Uniform?

Hello Defence Lovers,  In combat the element of surprise can be a tactical advantage that makes the difference between life and death. Drawing on nature, science and practical experience, designers create camouflage that can buy soldiers precious seconds in the field.  People have been using camouflage in some form or another from the beginning of human civilization. In fact, the basic idea of camouflage predates humans entirely. It comes from the natural adaptations that let animals blend in with their environment. In the past 100 years, camouflage has played a crucial role in most countries’ military operations.  In this article we will talk about the Importance Of The Army Camouflage Uniform.

  • Military camouflage is the use of camouflage by a military force to protect personnel and equipment from observation by enemy forces. In practice, this means applying colour and materials to military equipment of all kinds, including vehicles, ships, aircraft, gun positions and battledress, either to conceal it from observation , or to make it appear as something else.
  • Camouflage has two main uses one is to help the object blend in to the environment and second one is to help disrupt and distort the outline of the object in order to make it less easily seen.
  • It blends you in with the environment. Especially the outline seen from far off in a forest is not perceived properly by the naked eye. Even in urban theatres, it blends in with the environment more often than not.
  • Camouflage material is colored with dull hues that match the predominant colors of the surrounding environment. In jungle warfare, camouflage is typically green and brown, to match the forest foliage and dirt. In the desert, military forces use a range of tan colors. Camouflage for snowy climates is colored with whites and grays. To complete the concealment, soldiers paint their face with colors matching the camouflage material.
  • We tend to recognize something as a separate object if it has one continuous color, so a person is much more likely to stand out when wearing a single color than when wearing a jumble of colors. In the jungle, you perceive the jumble of colors in camouflage material as many small things that are component parts of the surrounding foliage.
  • Everything attached to it is also camouflaged in the same manner so there is uniformity. Your haversack, your front pouches, your helmet including the cap if you wear is of the same pattern. It gives you complete concealment.
  • It is the most comfortable thing you will ever wear. In camps, throughout a 7 day period, soldiers used two pairs of these amazing clothing. It soaks sweat, keeps you warm and the sleep you get in these babies, is just out of this world.
  • Lie down anywhere and you could fall asleep. After a Josh run of 35 kilometres, you cannot comprehend the amount of sweat soaked in that clothing.
  • Camouflage was first practiced in simple form in the mid 18th century by jäger- or rifle units. Their tasks required them to be inconspicuous, and they were issued green and later other drab colour uniforms.
  • Military camouflage is part of the art of military deception. The main objective of military camouflage is to deceive the enemy as to the presence, position and intentions of military formations.
  • Camouflage techniques include concealment, disguise, and dummies, applied to troops, vehicles, and positions.
  • And at last it makes you look good. After wearing it you can sense the feeling of Warrior and Saviour.
