(1.) Indian Ministry of Defence cancels Cambrian Patrol participation – The army is irked with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for cancelling its participation in Cambrian Patrol, an infantry competition held in England annually, where the force has done well in the past.

Government to procure 1.86 lakh bullet proof jackets for soldier – A proposal to procure 1.86 lakh bullet proof jackets for the armed forces is in progress, the government told Rajya Sabha today, amid rising incidents of cross-border attacks on security forces along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

Spotlight On MiG-35 Fighter Jet At Russia’s Top MAKS Air Show 2017 – Russia’s international air show MAKS began today with 180 foreign firms, including from India, participating with the spotlight on the MiG-35 fighter jet. There are also 10 national pavilions, said Victor Nikolayevich Kladov, head of the Department of International Cooperation and Regional Policy, Rostec State Corporation.

France and Germany Plan New 5th Generation Fighter – France and Germany have announced their intention to work together to develop a new advanced “European” 5th Generation fighter jet which will be the successor to the France’s Dassault Rafales and Germany’s Eurofighter Typhoons. France and German are planning to come up with a Road Map by Mid of 2018.
